1747 Pacific Highway

A video deliverable featuring footage of downtown San Diego.

Pacific Highway was an opportunity to create a full video deliverable with footage shot from a helicopter. The client needed a final deliverable that would promote the project site and its proximity to downtown San Diego as well as a collection of still photographs to be used in their marketing packages.

Prior to takeoff, the pilot and I discussed flight patterns and came up with a plan for capturing all of the necessary footage. The first 30 minutes of the flight was spent capturing video footage of the project site, followed by b-roll and highlights of other scenic parts of San Diego. For the video footage, I used my Sony A6500 in combination with a Ronin-S handheld gimbal system. Once we landed, I followed the flight footage up with walking footage and stationary shots of the project site and nearby neighborhoods.

The post production process consisted of editing the flight and ground footage and creating unique motion graphics to match the feel of the footage.
